Stephanie joined Novalex in 2022 after having practiced as a litigator with a boutique law firm in Montreal, for a Crown corporation in the field of energy and in the office of the Attorney General of Quebec. A litigator in the field of public law since her call to the Quebec Bar in 2003, Stephanie has pleaded before all judicial instances in Quebec, including the federal courts and before various administrative tribunals.
Stephanie has advised and represented several provincial ministries in different areas of law, including matters related to public and administrative law, always with the aim of finding tailor-made solutions. Specializing in public and administrative law, Stephanie has acted in major cases dealing with land claims and Aboriginal rights brought forth by various First Nations across the Province. Her work in constitutional law has also led her to successfully represent various provincial ministries in proceedings based namely on the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the charters.
Stephanie is a teacher at the École du Barreau du Québec where she teaches civil evidence and representation. Engaged in the legal community, Stephanie served two consecutive terms as an administrator with the Quebec Bar. Appointed to the Federation of Law Societies of Canada since 2021, Stephanie was also elected to the Bar of Montreal as a councillor in 2022. During her graduate studies, Stephanie was a researcher at the Public Law Research Center (CRDP) of the University of Montreal where she contributed to various pan-Canadian research projects in the fields of constitutional and indigenous law.

REPRESENTED the Government of Quebec in the constitutional challenge of the Act respecting the Laicity of the State.
REPRESENTED the Government of Quebec in the constitutional challenge of certain provisions of the Civil code of Quebec founded on the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the charters.
REPRESENTED the Government of Quebec in aboriginal land and rights claims instituted by various First Nations of Quebec.
REPRESENTED and ADVISED the Government of Quebec within the context of legal proceedings grounded on the Crown’s obligation to consult and accommodate First Nation peoples of Canada.
